Research Interest:
Saurabh’s area of interest is to check the efficacy of different herbal extracts in animal models and their implications for recovering from various diseases. Further, involving the idea of policy research into traditional Indian medicine is my primary focus. Innovation in herbal medicine and its wide use for humankind through Indian technology is my fundamental approach.
Background:
Saurabh completed his B.Sc in Zoology (Hons) from Shivaji College, University of Delhi, followed by Masters in Life Sciences from the Central University of Punjab. He pursued his research from the National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi, and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He has a total research experience of 3.5 years with 13 publications in National & International Journals and 2 book chapters in Springer Nature. He is also acting as a reviewer for various international journals. He has been awarded the Bharat Nirman Award in the behavioural change category at India International Science Festival (IISF-2017). He is an avid learner and is currently working as a Young Policy Professional at DST, New Delhi.
At present, he is a part of the STIP 2020 secretariat and is working on the new Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy 2020 (STIP 2020).
